The glass paintings are Janet's most recent paintings. They began with an inspiration in the spring of 2000. Janet has continued to learn and grow this form, but when she had a dream around the new year of 2006, it transformed her glass pieces into something completely new and exciting. She is still creating representational pieces, as well as the even more exciting and fun abstract work.

Many years ago, she worked primarily in the abstract form. At one point, she said, "I was asked if I could do more representational pieces. I did a quick sketch of the man in front of me, and said, "You mean like this?" For many years following that, I used nature and plant life as my inspiration because the graceful form and fluidity of nature."
It has long been an interest of Janet's to capture the essence of the living form through painting and photography. At times it manifests itself through a strictly representational viewpoint. At other times it comes forth through the abstraction of something we are familiar with, yet not intimate with. Janet is striving to create an intimacy between each piece and the viewer.
In 1994, Janet began taking classes to develop her clairvoyance at a school called, InVision. In January of 2000, Janet started teaching classes to help others develop their clairvoyant abilities. She began providing Professional Clairvoyant Readings at the same time, and still does today through her company, Guiding Inspiration, LLC.
It is through the energy work that Janet does, that she has found new inspiration for creating abstract works. The glass pieces that she is creating have their basis in the energy that Janet sees about the subject when she creates them. Recent ideas may take her work further in a new direction very soon. There is a likelyhood that some of the smaller pieces could be done in large scale to create installation pieces.
